2014 accounts unreservedly approved
Proposed change in the Company’s name
Belvédère SA (Euronext Paris: BVD) today announces that its 2014 annual accounts have been unreservedly approved by its auditors, and that a proposal will be tabled at the next Shareholders’ Meeting to change the Company’s name.
Unreserved approval of the Company’s consolidated financial statements for 2014
The Group’s auditors issued their audit report on the Belvédère group’s 2014 annual accounts and consolidated accounts. They have certified the Company’s accounts without any qualifications.
Proposal to change the Company’s name to be tabled at the next Shareholders’ Meeting
The final step in Belvédère’s normalisation will be to change the Company’s official name, a proposal that will be put to a vote at the next Shareholders’ Meeting on 30 June. Shareholders will be asked to approve a change in the Company’s name from Belvédère to Marie Brizard Wine & Spirits. The reason this new name is being put forward is that it illustrates what the Group is today, and notably:
- A clear mission in line with the Marie Brizard brand’s DNA: to offer its clients trustworthy, audacious and flavorful brands,
- A shared desire by all staff, the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee to move forward within a new framework and create a shared corporate culture based on innovation and growth,
- A multi-region and multi-category wine and spirits Group rooted in a tradition that began in Bordeaux back in 1755,
- Brands with recognised savoir faire,
- An international standing highlighted by the term “Wine & Spirits" being in English.

The auditors thoroughly reviewed our accounts and were able to note the tighter internal control and operational control we have put in place. Lastly, the planned change in the Group’s name is the final step in the normalisation plan that we launched a year ago, and it is of course quite right that our shareholders should have their say in this matter.
