| | Agroton Public Limited, one of the largest and most diversified agricultural producers in eastern Ukraine, completed construction of 8 poultry houses for young breeding stock. The first 4 poultry houses will start to operate by the end of April, as the first breeeders have been already supplied, and the remaining 4 will start operating in August 2011, when the second group of breeding stock is supplied. Each group of young breeding stock will include 36,528 heads, totalling 73,056 breeders supplied thi year.
The poultry houses will produce the hatching eggs, which will be used in Agroton's incubator facilities to produce the final chickens for fattening.
Agroton estimates that it will produce 1.60 mln eggs in the 4th quater of 2011, with the current need being 1.86 mln eggs. In 2012 the company plans to produce 8.50 mln eggs, while its total annual needs are 8.60 mln eggs.
This will enable the company to close its chicken business cycle, support vertical integration, and reduce poultry production cost. | |
