| | | | Treść raportu: | | | | | | | | | | | | Jens Spyrka, member of the Executive Board of bmp Holding AG (ISIN DE000330200), is stepping down from his position on the company's Executive Board as of today at his own request.
His resignation is a direct consequence of bmp's reorientation from an early-phase VC for digital media and marketing services to an e-commerce group with the Executive Board member Oliver Borrmann managing and taking responsibility for content. It is taking place on very positive and amicable terms. The Supervisory Board would like to thank him for his constantly dedicated work and great loyalty to the company.
Jens Spyrka will continue to handle the successive sale of the investment portfolio of bmp Holding AG, reported as discontinued operations, in his role as an Executive Board member of bmp Beteiligungsmanagement AG.
“With his commitment to innovative start-up companies, Jens Spyrka has made a key contribution to bmp's positive development and the fact that it has established itself as one of the most experienced VC companies in Germany and Poland," says Gerd Schmitz-Morkramer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of bmp Holding AG, recognising Jens Spyrka's work on the company's behalf. “But with our restructuring as an e-commerce group, we have now started out on a new path. We can therefore understand Jens Spyrka's decision to leave the Executive Board. Nevertheless, the entire Supervisory Board very much regrets his departure."
Oliver Borrmann, founder and also an Executive Board member of bmp, adds; “I would like to thank him for the four years that we have worked together on the Executive Board of bmp Holding AG and for his consistently open, constructive and exciting collaboration. At the same time, I am delighted that we still have him at our side as a reliable and experienced partner for supporting our VC investments."
Jens Spyrka has worked for bmp since 1999 and has been responsible for more than 40 investments and many successful exits in Central and Eastern Europe and in the area of media and marketing services. From 2000 to 2007 he was also managing director of a €10 million parallel fund with DEG - Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft, which was managed by bmp Holding at that time. In addition, he oversaw bmp Holding AG's admission as the first German company on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in a dual listing in 2004; the company is still listed here in parallel today.
Oliver Borrmann will now initially act as the sole Executive Board member of bmp Holding AG. In the medium term, the Executive Board level is to be expanded based on the growth of the group.
